A lexicon. A gateway. A hierarchy that stays fixed while what passes through it changes.
The Sparstone Lexicon
Sparstone carries three meanings at once, and none of them cancel the others out:
Geological origin: from the Old English spær — gypsum, crystalline mineral. Here, it represents raw, unobserved potential.
Narrative function: the Pinnacle Gateway. Not a rock — a fixed point where a threshold is felt and where the unclear begins to sharpen into the known.
Systemic definition: the archetypal class for every access-object in the system. Custos Spectrum is one specific instance. Sparstone is the category that holds it.
The Core Hierarchy
Custos → Sparstone → Spectrum → Marble
Custos — the concept, the entity, the keeper. The hub everything routes through.
Sparstone — a fixed gateway type. It doesn’t move. It stays Pinnacle, no matter what passes through it.
Spectrum — a claimed instance of that gateway. “Custos Spectrum” is the specific spectrum sourced from Radix.
Marble — the general-purpose access-object a Spectrum becomes once it’s been observed and named. Nearly anything can become a marble. That’s a generative rule, not a fixed list.
A Sparstone recognition is earned, not granted by default.
Project Weaving: Lunar Alignment
Creative output and system state, mapped to a repeating rhythm rather than a straight line:
| Lunar Phase | Narrative State | Technical Equivalent | Mission Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Moon (Germ) | Silence | Radix (NotebookLM) | Data ingestion & seed drafting |
| Waxing (Growth) | Sparklization | Spectrum (pathfinding) | Narrative expansion & AI review |
| Full Moon (Apex) | The Custos | Pinnacle (fixed gateway) | Final verification & manual sharing |
| Waning (Distribution) | The Marble | Access-object | Contributor missions & merges |
How a Marble Is Actually Granted
One thing this system is careful to keep plain rather than let the metaphor imply more than it does: earning a marble is a symbolic certificate, not an automated unlock. There’s no token system behind it. When someone earns recognition, that’s a manual step — a person, not a script, grants the access that follows. Naming it plainly here so nobody mistakes this for automation that doesn’t exist yet.
